…the birds of the heavens and they will tell you. Job 12:7

Before I began writing Feathers from Heaven, my faith based children’s book, birds would find a way to align with me. I feel such a profound love and connection to these magnificently beautiful winged creatures. There is something so special about them.

I see God’s perfect creation that was made by HIM to be closest to the sky—to Heaven.

I would come across feathers constantly and collected them in a jar. I kept it hidden, for they were sacred to me—messages of love from my Creator. Plus, to be honest, I thought I would be perceived as both a crazy bird lady and writer. Which by the way, I’m completely ok with now! *wink wink*

One day, my youngest son found my jar of feathers. I explained how God places them in my path when I need a nudge of love and that they were signs from above. He loved the feathers and suggested that we release them in case someone out there needed love.

So… he took the jar of feathers in the car and as I was driving, let one by one out the window while saying, “God, please send these to the people who need a nudge of love from you!”

In that exact moment, the story line began to unfold in my mind. As soon as we returned home, I began writing it immediately. That same night God confirmed how everything was indeed all a part of HIS plan because I opened my Bible exactly to Job 12:7-10:

7 “But ask the beasts, and they will teach you;
the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you;
8 or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you;
and the fish of the sea will declare to you.
9 Who among all these does not know
that the hand of the Lord has done this?
10 In his hand is the life of every living thing
and the breath of all mankind.

All of my children’s books are written to ignite spirituality and encourage the pursuit of finding God in everything. Stories that celebrate compassion, love for others, kindness, and treating people who are different with respect—values rooted from Biblical teachings.

In order to see things from God’s perspective, we need to put on our spiritual glasses.

May God bless all of you! I am forever grateful for the support, love and encouragement I receive from all who are reading my words. I can’t wait until these books make their way into your homes and the hearts of children. It is all for HIS glory and Heavenly Kingdom. I am just the co-author.
